I figured I'd start a post-op specific group! I'm in my bed right now waiting for IVs and such. I'll be a post-op in a few hours! :)

Hi char.. i had surgery on that same date too :) and im down 22 pounds :) Congrats..

Wow.. Tara yeah we see the difference... congrats.. Can I ask what date was your surgery and what are u eating for the diet? I need some i de ideas :)

I had surgery on September 5th. Im almost back to full solids now so my diet may be a little different than yours at this stage... I dont have any specific things that im eating, as far as like recipes and stuff. I bean chili with no meat, im making the ricotta bake everyone raves about tonighy so we'll see how that tastes. Ive struggled with knowing exactly what to eat so I get in ruts from time to time.

Ok thanks Tara :)

I will check in with the September group. Surgery on the 27th down 41 pounds so far. Feel great went back to work after one week.

HI Everyone My surgery was Sept 23rd, I was wondering if anyone else has started to feel hungry? Today I've been wanting to eat salty foods, almost craving them. I wasn't sure if this is normal or maybe it's just my head telling me I should be eating.

Are you getting all your water in? Craving salty could be a sign of dehydrated. I had surgery on September 4th and have been dehydrated - I should have gone to the Doctor - instead I just keep pushing the fluids. I track my water intake because I am so bad at getting my 64 oz in a day. I have to ask myself if I am hungry or is it a craving. I would live to eat - now I eat to live - believe me I could eat - I was really afraid the Doctor was going to tell me after surgery that he had never seen such a big stomach!
