Hi everyone

My name is Dawn and I'm 7 years out. I'm 42, Canadian, a teacher and run a large wls support group. You can view my story at diminishingdawn.com

If anyone has any questions that they need answered, feel free to drop me a line anytime.

I know sometimes we have questions that we are too afraid to ask to a large group.

Take care

Dawn

Congratulations to you! You look amazing! I am just wondering if now you can eat and drink at the same time and if you still experience dumping which are the things that I am deathly afraid of. Thank you so much for your time.

I have experienced dumping syndrome maybe a handful of times of that. Most of us don't dump especially long term.

As for eating and drinking, it's a bad habit sometimes. I try not to do it as I try to keep that full feeling as long as possible. Hunger is strong now so making the full feeling last is important. It is supposed to be forever to not eat and drink with an rny.

Wow Dawn...

You look fantastic. It is great to see a success story when one is getting ready to take the Gastric Bypass plunge! I'm about 10 days Pre-Op. I am nervous but it is more about the process and the potential for more unexpected snafoos! Maybe that is a blessing! In future I will seek you out for advice as questions arise. Thanks for making yourself available as a mentor!

Stephen

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
