Over the shoulder boulder holder

Recommended Posts

So... Ladies post op. I am having surgery on the 15th of july(YAY!). But the one thing on my mind is support. Not the human contact kind either... although I think my husband wouldn't mind the job. I need some advice on what to do for brassieres? I don't want to have to go out and buy a new bra every few weeks. I had thought of just getting a sports bra, but I hate the uni-boob look. So any and all advice would be helpful. What you did? how fast you lost your boobage? If you even lost that much? Thanks ladies!

Laugh if you want but in the beginning when I lost a lot of weight I didn't have money for new bras so I rolled up a pair of socks and stuffed it!!! Later on I bought some on eBay real cheap

Walmart has sport bras that feel like a real bra. They also separate in the middle so you dont have a uniboob. They are super comfy too.

Lol! I'm still wearing my same bras 3 months out I just have to tighten then. My boobs are smaller and deflated but I'm okay with that. Lol

I just bought 2 good bras from VS right now lol after work I knew I needed a new one. My boobs were no longer fitting the bras I had. I lasted in the ones I had and super old ones and sport bras. I would rather spend money on cloths.

I'm 11 months and needed bras desperately.

I went from 50D to 36C.

Still wearing the same bras they just fit alot better now. Mine were spilling out and I just hated buying more and I got to wearing sports bras that were more like regular bras just had compression. I haven't bought anything new except scrubs. I can't wait til I can walk into VS and pick out something super cute.

It's still surreal shopping there. I didn't know how to ask for a bra fitting but if course everyone there was super sweet and helped me fit a great fit and great styles!... It's so weird though!

In a strange bra sizing quirk, I've gone from 46D to 40 DD. I guess they girls aren't shrinking as fast as the rest of me!

I have been using the bra genie. If that's what it's called. They were from an infomercial but now they sell them at Wal-Mart and walgreens or cvs. I have large knockers 42ddd. They offer just enough support with just one on and no uniboob. If I'm going to the gym I put two on for extra support and then it will work like a sports bra. Also, they are stretchy so I have not had to buy new ones yet.

I found some awesome bra's at Sams Club. They come in a two pack for twenty dollars. And look so comfy. I can't wait to wear them.

I don't want mine to shrink! And the other day my husband wasn't too happy about my butt shrinking, either!

Can't I just lose in the "important" areas? Like tummy, thighs, upper arms?

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
