Surgery was yesterday morning. Cant believe i am feeling as well as i am! Discharged from the hospital about an hour ago. Feeling pretty good' date=' just occasional spasms or what I think are spasms, it may be gas bubbles. I haven't taken anything for gas. My only real pain is when I take deep breaths in.[/quote']

Graceann888,

Congratulations & Welcome to the other side!

I am so happy I went for my post opp appointment today, I have lost 15.9 lbs since surgery on 6-11-13. I got my staples out and my drain tube. I feel normal can't wait to eat my egg!!!

Surgery was Wednesday morning and I am getting ready to be discharged. So far, no complications! I just hope it stays that way. My neck and throat have been pretty sore and I think may a combo if the anesthesia and uncomfortable hospital bed. I do feel like I have a little bit of congestion in my cheat and they told me that was normal. I am soooo glad to be on the other side of this!!

The throat is probaly the tube the inabate you with during surgery...that will pass soon and use the breathing guage ( spiro- something or other) they give you it helps with the congestion. Congratulation!

Just eat slowly and choose something surgery friendly. You'll be fine. :)

Congratulations, you will be fine. My throat hurt like hell as well, because of that tube, after 10 days my throat is fine, remember to blow in that thing they give us, it will help you a lot and help clear your chest. Take care

I had a cup of chili. It was hard not to drink the water. I havent been taking anything to the table with me, but with it sitting right there....

Tried syntax nectar unflavored today in my crystal light iced tea. Soooooo much better than the other powders I tried. Got 3 drink down today. Feel less tired.

I drank too much of a protein shake and I had to lay down. Maybe for an hour before I felt normal again.

I have done that two times. I finally threw up and immediately felt better. I sure hope I have learned my lesson. :)
