I have been so bored, doing nothing much. Today I decided to cut the grass. It had rained a lot, the grass was long, and my hubby was too busy to cut it. We have 1 1/2 acres, 3/4 of it is grass, and half of that is on flat ground (the rest is steep hill). I figured I could cut the flat areas and leave the rest for my hubby. My mower is self-propelled and I use the mulcher so I don't have to empty the bagger. So I did it. I took it slow and every half hour I took a fifteen minute rest and drank my Water. I was a little nervous so I paid attention to my body - it didn't send me any warning signals. Then I spent the afternoon with my dogs on the deck. Now if only I can get my husband to get out there and finish his part...

Sounds like a great day! As long as you take it slow, and rest which you did, you are doing great! We had a good day here too. Got a lot done outside, and I helped with what I could. We are having our daughters grad party next month and there is a lot to get cleaned up and ready for that. Its work but will be fun in the end! Glad you are doing good!

How's your back? Sounds like your coping with the pain, did that treatment help at all?

Congratulations on your daughter's graduation. A big party will be fun. You take it easy too. Do you have plenty of help?

Back is the same. Some days it is alittle more manageable. The treatment helped the lower back about 25% so far. Not sure if it will get any better as the nerves die? The leg pain is still there all the way.

My kids are big helps with the parties we throw, they love it. My sisters and mom will help if needed. The other two grad parties we had were so much fun! This will be the final one. ;(

I bet you burn a lot of calories.

I been dealing with a Migraine & vomiting all day plus sleeping all day. I thank god my 16 year old takes care of the kids including feeding them & keeping them quiet & away from me when I get these Migraines about every 3 months or so.

Headaches suck. I've never had a migraine, I hear they're horrible. Hope you feel better soon.

I LOVE cutting the grass. When I was a child we never had a yard, so when I got married and we bought our first home I really got into the yard. As an added bonus, when I was cutting grass the kids weren't allowed to bother me unless it was an emergency, so mowing grass was as close as I got to 'quiet time'. My husband is the only man in the neighborhood who has a grass-cutting wife. He's the envy of every man on the street! :-) :-)

I use to love mowing ,but when we moved to Montana hubby bought a tractor and a riding lawn mower to take care of our 40 acres I wasn't going to cut it anymore ,not with bears , mountain lions and deer everywhere I'm a city girl to darn scary in the Lolo national forest!!! Anyone remember "a river runs through it" that's where we lived in the bitterroot. Now down here in Texass we're on just an acre but he still has the rider, but I still love the smell of fresh cut grass ,smells like watermelon to me ;)

We have a riding mower too. I let my hubby mow when we've got the three H's going on here (hazy, hoy, & humid). :-)

That's how I feel. Nice even straight lines. I have a touch of OCD. :-)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
