Alright! I knew there had to be more of us lol. I start my 2 week Optifast diet on 7/9. This is feeling more real as it gets closer but I have so many appts. Scheduled before the surgery, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with the time I have to take off from work. I have a 2 hour exercise class, a 4 hour education class, preop testing appt, optifast class and a final appt with the surgeon. These are all on different days. This with the time off for surgery will wipe out all of my leave time but I think it is worth it. :).

Hi there everyone

Its going down on July 29th. I am nervous and excited. I am getting last minute stuff like liquid vitamins baby dishware. I got to move a bit more so exercise will become a priority for me. I been watching the carb in take so I guess I am ok there.

Hey guys! Sorry it has taken so long to respond. I've been consumed by funerals they last couple days. My cousins (22 & 23) were killed in an auto accident last Saturday. We buried them yesterday. Very trying and incredibly sad.

With that being said; I'm excited for surgery but just coming through this death process I question whether I'm making a sound decision for me and my family. Life is so precious and can't be over on the blink of an eye. Maybe I'm just still super emotional from the past several days and I hope it passes soon so I'm back on track.

Peace

sorry to hear of your loss hun

That's weird... I have my surgery on July 3rd as well. I am in the pcola area and using lord. I can hardly wait!!! I felt a little deflated when they told me my surgery is in July. Thought it would be sooner

Hello! I am in Panama City, so not too far away. I am hoping for a late July surgery date. I have my last appointment the first week of July and will submit that day.

Hey July Guys! So, does anyone else feel like they are totally obsessed with WLS? I feel like its all I can think about!! Sometimes my mood and demeanor is just total bitch! I feel like I've constantly got this running "what ifs..." running through my head. Does it get better, the anxiety and stress, after surgery? Will my mind ever be mine to think of anything else again?

Yes, yes, and yes! This has been such a long process I would have thought I would have run out of what if scenarios instead I come up with new ones everyday lol..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
