June surgeries!

Hey all! I looked around and couldn't find anything for June surgeries. I don't have my exact date yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of June!! Sooo excited!! I had my lap band out on April 18th and they were supposed to do the bypass, but they weren't able to due to scar tissue. I saw my surgeon today and all should be a go for June! Yay!!!! RNY here I come!!!

Well my intestines finally woke up! Yeah. Liquids in' date=' liquids out. Ugh. Sorry for the TMI.[/quote']

Good for you, I had been having BM, but it looked so different and the color very dark, I thought something was wrong with me, today I'm not feeling good, I feel like I'm stuck waiting for it to move, I think I've overdosed on the broth, lol

How long did it take? I'm on day 10...no bowel movement

I had a BM three days later, before I left the hospital they told me my bowls were moving and it would be any day, they were right.

I think because I was a revision from band to bypass. I had two drains. They took one out today and the other will stay un until my month follow up. It helps with the gas and bloating.

Oh ok, I learn something new everyday.

Hi all, I think I overdosed on broth today, lol I feel super full and stuck, Im waiting patiently for it to move, I can't even swallow water..after it moves, I will only sip my water, it's been a few hours, I hope I don't have to wait to much longer.

I am 3days post op and I am doing great. I am walking and finally passing gas!!! I will tell my husband that I passed gas and you would have thought he Waa talking to a toddler that is potty training. Lol protein is hard to get in I am so afraid to over stuff myself.

I'm not sure if this is the place to join' date=' but I just found this forum today and what awesome information I've found! It has also been great to see that everyone so far has had pretty good experiences. I am having surgery on 6/19 (revision from lap band). I am 30 years old, mother to two little ones and I'm super nervous, but feel peace about my decision. I'm looking forward to sharing my journey with you![/quote']

Welcome! I am having surgery on 6/25. I am so glad I found this site. It has helped me feel like I am prepared, even if things don't go perfect.

Hello! I'm new to this site & have my surgery set for June 25th...I wasn't nervous before but now that's its 2weeks away I'm very nervous...any advice?

Hey! My surgery is also June 25!! I was the only one! I am so glad you found us. I am nervous too - excited as well. For me I keep focusing on why I am doing this and how much my life will change for the better. I have also found help in prayer.

I have a drain tube for a week. Told me its to watch for leaks, and to drink blue and green liquids. If ya see it in the ball, call Dr

Bowels finally woke up today!!!! I feel like a new woman :)

I wish mine would wake up!

Just found out I'm having robot assisted laparoscopic RNY. Apparently the stand you on your head for the entire procedure because of the robot.

So they tell me I can look forward to swelling around my face and neck. Hmmmm that doesn't sound like fun at all

I had mine done robotically and I laid flat just like normal surgery... Weird they would tip you!

My bowels have been grumbling all day. The weirdest sound just came from my drain and a ton of stuff shot our. Weird. I just took a shower and suspect it was all the moving around
