June surgeries!

Hey all! I looked around and couldn't find anything for June surgeries. I don't have my exact date yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of June!! Sooo excited!! I had my lap band out on April 18th and they were supposed to do the bypass, but they weren't able to due to scar tissue. I saw my surgeon today and all should be a go for June! Yay!!!! RNY here I come!!!

Finally got my pre op appointment! Tuesday at 2!

Finally discharged from the hospital and home. Man it feels good to sit on my own couch. The staff at the hospital was super no complaints and everything went really well. Sipped my first liquid loretab, not too bad. Wishing everything goes as well for everyone else.

That's wonderful' date=' did she say why you didn't have to do liquids first? Im just curious[/quote']

She said I have done well enough with clear liquids that she feels I am fine to go right to soft foods. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting so just stomach seems to be tolerating things well. So, of course, I grabbed a decaf iced coffee with cream on my way home from my appt and I've been so nauseated ever since! Ugh!

Thanks to my genetic blood clotting disorder I get to give myself those shots. Every day. For four weeks. My stomach is a roadmap of bruises at this point.

Hun they should of told you this in the hospital I have to Inject myself as well do NOT inject your stomach it's suppose to be your thighs :( if you feel I may be wrong you can call the nurse yourself but trust me they made it very clear to me ... good luck

Because of my history, I have to inject myself for 30 days.....and I have an ivc filter.

They told me to do it in my belly and showed me how in the hospital. Every doctor is different. Is it Lovenox they gave you?

9 days post op' date=' and I am so sick of protein shakes! So tired of sweet stuff. I put unflavored protein in soup broth today, but I want to chew something! Okay- whining done! :)[/quote']

Awww, try it again in a few weeks, it'll treat your stomach better, I believe that. How did it make you feel? Im on liquid, I'm scared to start the protein shakes...but I'm going to follow the directions, hope you feel better.

I got my diet progression today too. Going from clears to protein shakes, yogurt, and soup. I'm fine with the soup but the other two went straight through. I'm sure it will get interesting soon.
