  1. The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday
  2. I love the Spark People app. It allows me to log my food and exercise and I can see at a glance where I'm at with calories, fat, carbs and protein.
  3. I just bought a fitbit aria and it does a great job. It automatically records the weight in my fitbit app so I don't have to worry about tracking it myself.
  4. Yeah, I'm on puréed now so I'm suppose to eat three meals a day and still get the fluids, carbs and protein. My nurse said I won't be able to get all the protein just by food in this stage so to supplement with protein shakes. She said those count as Fluid not a meal or snack. I'm happy to help in any way :-). I look at it as we're all in this together!
  5. My nurse said to start with something easy like yogurt or cottage cheese
  6. I just had my 2 week post op and the nurse said that my weight loss wod slow down if I dont get in the right amount of proteins carbs and fluid. She said we have to have those numbers minimally for our bodies to lose the weight. I have to get a minimum of 60oz of protein, 64oz fluid (this includes the protein) and 30oz of carbs.
  7. That does stink! Again, so amazes at how different doctors are.
  8. Hi kdgains! I started my purried too! I had 1/2 an egg with a tiny bit of cheese :-)
  9. I saw something awesome on Rachel Ray yesterday. She froze bananas then puréed it with milk and it looked just like ice cream, and she claims it tastes like it too especially when you put toppings on it. I'm going to try it when I can have fruit.
  10. At the hospital, IVs are in, just waiting on doc. Yay!!!
