June surgeries!

Hey all! I looked around and couldn't find anything for June surgeries. I don't have my exact date yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of June!! Sooo excited!! I had my lap band out on April 18th and they were supposed to do the bypass, but they weren't able to due to scar tissue. I saw my surgeon today and all should be a go for June! Yay!!!! RNY here I come!!!

You will feel much better once it's removed.

Sitting in waiting room for first per op appt and class. They didn't give me alot of information about what to expect. Just told me to clear most of my day and part of my day would be spent on class. But today makes it feel real. The day of surgery is getting close. I'm expecting to learn more about my pre op diet today. I'll post about what I learned after I'm done. Good luck and god bless those headed to surgery this week and all those

Ready to go home!!!

I don't have to go through the full liquid or puréed stages! Sooooo excited for some flavor back in my life!!! God is SO good! :)

I know what you mean! I feel like I'm floating! Lol and nothing tastes good to me. Everything sugar free tastes like nutrasweet and I won't even start on chicken broth. Lol

I had surgery Thursday and didn't really shake the anesthesia hangover until Saturday. It gets better.

Just found out I'm having robot assisted laparoscopic RNY. Apparently the stand you on your head for the entire procedure because of the robot.

So they tell me I can look forward to swelling around my face and neck. Hmmmm that doesn't sound like fun at all

I work in robotics at my hospital and the swelling is usually not severe

Oh I don't know if I'd like that. As much of a technology person as I am, I would not trust it. I would be protesting the robot. Humans are all different inside and as great as robotics are these days, they are still robots.

Prayers for me please. My stomach is full of butterflies.

Got you covered. You will do great!

I had the robot surgery as well. It was awesome! I didn't notice any swelling.
