June surgeries!

Hey all! I looked around and couldn't find anything for June surgeries. I don't have my exact date yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of June!! Sooo excited!! I had my lap band out on April 18th and they were supposed to do the bypass, but they weren't able to due to scar tissue. I saw my surgeon today and all should be a go for June! Yay!!!! RNY here I come!!!

Have you tried unjury whey Protein? It really dissolves well and my doc recommended it as the best for RNY patients. Maybe that'll go down better? Best wishes to you.

I have not but I may try their sample pack. I bought the Syntrax to start with. Tastes good and dissolves well. Just having trouble with anything cold right now.

Which syntrax flavor do you like?

Yay, I'm glad to have a surgery buddy! We are lucky to have the summer to get accustomed to our new lifestyle. I haven't told anyone at work so it has been hard during these last few teacher workdays to explain why I can't go out to lunch (pre-op diet). Are you on a pre-op diet?

I haven't been given a pre-op diet to follow. I'm impatiently waiting for the hospital to call me for my pre-op appointment. gah!!!! I have shared with quite a few people at work. We are a very small school and faculty is all pretty friendly and close. I've had a few friends say are you sure???? and when I say yes, they ask what they can do to help.

WOW I just found this group today and it has taken me ALL afternoon to get through all 44 pages! :)

Today was so so so much better for me!

And then I didn't chew my Calcium chewable enough. And that was awful.

Time to sip some Water and take a hot shower and go to bed.

Did not sleep last night. Worst night since I've been home. Out of control cough and my lungs feel so tight. My asthma inhalers did not even help. Don't know if its post nasal drip from my allergies or the start of an upper respiratory infection. Going to put a call in to the surgeons office here shortly. I was planning on going back to work tomorrow but I can't if I can't get any sleep.

On the losers bench!!! Whoo hoo! Surgery yesterday... Painful night, this morning way better! Get some tubes out and start my water! Hopefully outta here tomorrow!!

Hey people. I went under at 4pm yesterday. It was tough with no liquids but worth it.

Not much pain with the morphine. Going for my upper GI so I can start sipping Water.
