June surgeries!

Hey all! I looked around and couldn't find anything for June surgeries. I don't have my exact date yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of June!! Sooo excited!! I had my lap band out on April 18th and they were supposed to do the bypass, but they weren't able to due to scar tissue. I saw my surgeon today and all should be a go for June! Yay!!!! RNY here I come!!!

Just started on my 2 week liquid date today, I am struggling BIG TIME! Any suggestions please :'(

I completely understand!!! I am on day four of my two weeks. I will be honest the first three days is a B**CH!!! However, day four I'm finally starting to feel some excitement again. The first three days I was ready to give up. I kept asking myself .... "Can I really do this??" Reading blogs on this site and seeing before and after pictures on google images has really kept me focused. I broke down and ordered the really expensive chicken broth from UNJURY. I am also eating surgar-free jello. When is your surgery date????

My surgery is June 18th. I have been starving most of the day, drank my shakes, water, had some broth a little while ago and a sugar free popsicle. I have the worst headache ever! I just hope this gets better over the next few days, lol! I keep telling myself I can do this, then a few seconds later I am like, boy I sure hope I can do this. I know it's more mental than anything, but that in itself is hard! Thanks for the advice, it's appreciated! When is your surgery?

God speed.

Had my pre-op today and started my one week liquid diet. Tomorrow I go on the road for three days with a shaker cup and individual pouches of protein shakes. This is going to be challenging.

My surgery is on the 17th. I had a headache the first day as well but I took a headache pill and it went away. I also bought some ketosis sticks. That has helped me see that my body really is doing what its suppose to! haha Hang in there.

Well.. This is it. I have to be at the hospital at 9:30 and surgery is at 11:30 tomorrow. I want to thank all of you for holding me up in your prayers and all of the kind, encouraging words. It means so much to me.

WrightNow,

are you ready??? Nervous?? I'm excited and hoping they don't postpone it, but it is what it is at point. Lol I'll get over it either way.

I'm ready!!! My surgery actually got moved up from 10am to 730am so I have to be there at 530. I'm not nervous at all except about forgetting something I will or may need to take with me. I'm still praying for u!

Mines scheduled for 1230 have to be at the hospital at 830..... yay we're almost there!

I had my surgery yesterday around 2:00pm. I have done really well! Praise God! I had it worked up to so much more than it has been thus far. My pain has been around a 1 or a 2 all night. Walked last night around 8:30. My doctor says its possible may go home today. I will write more later.

Up and waiting on my husband to get dressed. Hospital is about 30 min away. But it will be a nice peaceful drive at 5am. I will report as soon as I can. 730 surgery....keep the prayers coming! Pray for the surgeon and his staff as well as me. :-)

Yes, praise God, I pray that you continue to have a painless, complication free recovery. You should be proud, you did it, your on the losers side.

On my way to the hospital. My stomach is still turning from the magnesium citrate. Or is it the fact that I'm having surgery?? Wish me luck!!! So nervous.
