I'm Officially One Week POst OP And Can't Tell When I'm Full. THese Protein Shakes Give Me Terrible Gas And I'm Constipated. Help!

Had surgery on Monday and home now. Surgery went great and now trying to figure out how I'm supposed to drink 64oz of water and 4 protein shakes. I'm loving being on part two of this life changing journey!

I have my RNY tomorrow!!! I'm so glad there is someone out there having surgery tomorrow as well! Best of luck!

Day 14 Of Liquid Diet. I'm So Tired And Drained. Is Thus Normal?

Okay I've been on my pre-op liquid diet for just about two weeks and have lost 15 pounds. This makes me wonder if I should get the surgery or continue this diet......then I ask myself "What would be the first thing I would do if I decided not to go through with the surger?" My answer is order a large pizza and start the diet on Monday...... hahahaha guess I'm going to go through with the surgery! Super excited only 3 days 1 hour and 24 minutes away........ =+)

Hi all! I have 3 days 15 hours and 55 minutes until my surgery!.....but whose counting? It sounds like everyone is recovering well....slow but well from surgery. I can't wait to be on the loosers bench with everyone. Question: Does everyone have a drainage tube when they leave the hospital or do they take it out there???

I have a question about the pre-op liquid diet. My body doesn't seen to want to have a bm. I am so bloated!! I have surgery the 17th and would like to relieve some of this pressure beforehand because I know there will be alot of presure post-op. Any suggestions???

I wonder if a few pickle chips preop would be bad??

Hi everyone! I'm scheduled for June 17th. This two week liquid diet is going to be the death of me! Ugh haha. So i chewed up a hot dog and spit it in the trash.....i know gross! Do you think this caused a huge set back?

My surgery is on the 17th. I had a headache the first day as well but I took a headache pill and it went away. I also bought some ketosis sticks. That has helped me see that my body really is doing what its suppose to! haha Hang in there.

Thanks everyone for the encouagement. It helps so much knowing I'm not alone in this. Today is Day four and is a little bit easier then yesterday.

I completely understand!!! I am on day four of my two weeks. I will be honest the first three days is a B**CH!!! However, day four I'm finally starting to feel some excitement again. The first three days I was ready to give up. I kept asking myself .... "Can I really do this??" Reading blogs on this site and seeing before and after pictures on google images has really kept me focused. I broke down and ordered the really expensive chicken broth from UNJURY. I am also eating surgar-free jello. When is your surgery date????
