Recommended Posts

I am scheduled for my revision surgery on June 12th. Any one else? I am scared and excited at once. I sure hope this is the right choice for me. :)

Almost there! Are you getting excited? How long was your liquid diet beforehand? I have to do a month. Im so worried they will take the band and not be able to do the RNY.

My liquid diet is 3 days. I don't know waft I would do with a month of liquids!!

I am just scared about the surgery period! My surgeon didn't even mention the possibility of not doing the revision so hopefully he will not find a reason for it not to happen.

Good luck!!

My revision from band to bypass is scheduled for June 21st. I am also excited and nervous. I have to do a 4-week pre-op diet so I start next Thursday, the day after my nutrition class. I am so ready for June to get here!

I started my 800 calorie liquid Optifast diet today. So far I am ok but a little week. I have only had 480 of the calories so far. We'll get there!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
