I lived off retried Beans thinned out with chicken broth and yogurt (cannon light and fit Greek....just avoid the crimps of fruit)

Also I make homemade broth, canned is nasty!!!!!

How do you make homemade broth

You put chicken and veggies in a pot and simmer FOREVER until it starts physically breaking down into flavored water. Season with salt and such. Then you pour it through a strainer or cheesecloth.

How do you make homemade broth

Yup, what nel said. I use chicken (thighs are cheaper but have more fat than breasts), onion, celery, carrot, couple cloves of garlic, salt, a bay leaf, and whole pepper corns....add enough Water to cover, bring to a boil, lower heat down to a simmer then cook til veggies are mush. I save the chicken for other stuff and strain off the broth in a mesh strainer. Can be frozen for months. If you let it get cold in the fridge the fat solidifies on the top and you can skim it off with a spoon. I do the same thing when I make broth based Soups, just tastes so much better than the other!!!!

Jello. Lots and lots of it. I was also permitted fat and sugar free pudding occasionally. I had miso Soup a couple times. Also stock up on Water flavorings, like Mio and Crystal Lite. As for Protein Shakes, GNC's Lean shakes are great. Low sugar, low fat, 25 grams of Protein each. chocolate and vanilla are tasty but I haven't met anybody who liked the strawberry flavor. Has a strange chemical taste.

So basically all I'm adding for the next three weeks are Protein Shakes and putting out yogurt?!? I have come to the conclusion that the broth is not for me. Making broth using the ramen noodle seasoning is tasty but too much salt

My surgeon allows cottage cheese chewed very well and strained cream of whatever Soups during the full liquid stage, as well.

Thanks ladies is there anything else I can add to my shopping list besides broth to buy today

I use the broth from the Boxed Lipton chicken Noodle Soup. It tastes really good and goes down easy!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
