How about some NSVs!?!?

Bought cat litter at Target the other day. The bag I buy weighs 18 pounds. As I was walking across the parking lot with it kind of hugging it against my belly because it was heavy and didn't have a handle, I realized just 4 short weeks ago I was carrying more weight that than this around on my body every day all day long.

What a great feeling to know that weight is gone and more will follow and I won't be this big ever again!

Isn't it amazing! I tried to lift a 60 lb bag of charcoal into my car - thought it was too heavy and asked my husband to help me. I used to carry 66 lbs more around with me all the time :) Congratulations Ginger Snaps - keep it up!

Rode my bike 6 mikes today! Last week I started riding a little bit around my development. I hadn't ridden in 33 years! It was so much fun to ride along the ocean and feel like I was flying!!!

Yesterday I spent the morning cleaning my basement, then cut grass w/a push mower for three hours, then weeded my veggie garden, then walked my dogs, then made dinner on the grill. An ENTIRE day of nonstop activity without being winded, tired, or in pain! Life is good! :-)

I walked up and down multiple steps all weekend without getting winded or tired.

Someone told me I looked skinny. Woo!

Just checked out a BMI scale - I've gone down from "Super Obese" to "Morbidly Obese" and now I'm just "Obese" - can't wait to be "Overweight" and then "Normal"!

I can now walk down an commercial airplane aisle without turning sideways.....

I'm flying for the first time in September - can't wait to see if I can walk down the aisle that way too - and if I can do without the dreaded extension!

My brother and his wife recently got me a very generous gift card to a clothing store since they know I have to buy all new clothes. I went on a bit of a spree and unlike before surgery I loved every minute of it, especially in the fitting room. Before I would be in tears because nothing fit and this time I was in tears of joy at the size I was.

I have gone from a 3x/28 to a M/8!!!! I can't believe it!! I had to document the experience with a picture!

You look great! I don't think your weight stats listed to the left of your post are up-to-date so I have some questions. How much weight did you lose and how much do you weigh now? You're from North Carolina. What city or town? I'm from outside of Charlotte.

My weight has been stabile for two month at 130. But I have dropped from an 8 petite to a 6 petite and even bought a 2/4 petite in a dress. So while weight wise I haven't dropped, size wise I have that is an NV righr? :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
