Hi all,

I'm new to this board, & a new bandit too.

I'm Fee from the NSW South Coast & I was banded on 31 January. Including pre-op diet, I've lost 9kg so far, gotta be happy with that!

I'm totally addicted to scrapbooking, photography & my computer, but I really need to move my butt a bit more now:rolleyes

Look forward to chatting!

Hi Feebs, My name is Susannah and I was banded on 2/2/07. I lost 6 kgs on Optifast, and 2 since banding. I am 11 days out so I have not yet been able to resume my exercise program to the full extent. I guess I will start losing more once I am able to start exercising again.

Welcome anyway.

Susannah

Hey Feebs, come on over the Melbourne chat thread. I'm in Canberra but the lovely Victorians have let me hijack their thread. We are all very friendly :)

Hi Loretta anmd all..........

22 more sleeps !!!!! OMG

well after yesterday im still stressing!!. Respiratory function tests on the 28/2 could prove to be a problem. Can i borrow someones lungs as mine are stuffed. Well the Physician knows the op is on the 9/3 so im sure if he wanted me to also have sleep studies then he would have booked me in for them too. Im off for an ECG today.

Someone told me on another site .... dont stress. he will just be checking your lungs so they can keep a closer eye on you if there are any problems there.....

Anyway... i didnt sleep at all last night.... lots of thoughts racing in my head. Ive decided that i am going to start Optifast today ( just under 3 weeks to op). I know Dr Nottle didnt indicate i needed to go on it but im going to prepare myself as best i can. Ive had my many Hotcoss Buns and easter eggs so im happy now :hungry: .

Hey all,

I haven't posted in a while, so thought I'd drop in & say hi!

Still loving my band. I've lost 33kg now, & have 27 to go. Hoping I'll make it by the end of the year:)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
