3 days post op and still in so much pain. Can't tell if I'm being a wuss since i see all of these other people on here saying they are just fine at this point. But I'm almost in tears every time I get up to go to the bathroom. Not sure what to do. The nurses in the hospital just blew me off as i felt like a stitch was being ripped out everytime i moved. Ugh!

Could it be gas pain?

Getting up and moving is the best thing to do.

Take your pain medicine don't wait till its out of control. Try to take as your doctor for a few days. Like if its every six hours then take it every six hours to stay on top of your pain. Make sure you take medicine so you can poop lol pain medicine can cause major Constipation.< /p>

I know what u mean. My incision under my left breast is killing me. So I have been putting ice on it. That helped me out

What bothers me is at different angles the incision under the port one is indented at times. Like the muscle under was messed with.... Which I don't get why they have to even do that.

My lower left is indented too. I assume its from the manipulation of equipment in there

Mine too and that is where i hurt so bad! Has to be a muscle because it feels like I'm being ripped open whenever i sit or lay down. Hopefully the indent will go away and our whole stomach will look like a "6-pack" in a few months!!

Still after more than 3 weeks I am having the same excruciating pain in one of my incisions. The same spot I complained about in the hospital and no one seemed concerned. I was in the ER this past weekend for dehydration and pain. They took xrays and found nothing wrong...how can it be that every other incision, including the biggest one is almost healed and this one is still causing so much pain it's unbearable to functions. I'm on my 4th bottle of pain meds.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
