Hunger dorsnt go away?

Recommended Posts

The same symptoms can happen from dehydration and from dumping.

I've definitely felt that way from dumping....i don't think I'm experiencing anything related to low blood sugar since surgery but now I'm pretty sure I was before...good thing I don't have to be concerned anymore!

I am a type 2 diabetic when mine starts to get low I feel a strangeness in my stomach like a wave I get jittery and faint like I also start to talk weird " family says" I can not concentrate or focus on anything. It's almost like a panic attack somewhat just very weird and then when I eat or drink something and it goes back to normal I feel wiped up the rest of the day.

It's not a good feeling and can be scary

Sorry old hippie....i sure hope this surgery helps you get past the diabetes....that was once of the main reasons i decided to have it..my brother now had type 2 and is having so many health problems..my dad died at 60 due to diabetes and heart....i fought long and hard thru cancer treatment and I was not about to survive that just to have try to live with with high bp and diabetes...being older (49) than many on here I see my weight coming off slower than most but that's ok as long as its coming off...

Your sugar may have been low. With our surgery we have to be prepared just like a diaper bag is for a baby when we go out. Bring a snack and a bottle of Water in our purses

Thank you!

Thanks for the comment, i am 56 so i know what you mean. I have had diabetes for 10 yrs one of the many reasons i had the surgery. I hope next month they take me off the metformin because spmetimes it makes my sugar to low.my biggest concern is just getting the Protein and Fluid in.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
