hello from PA

One month today!!! I've had my ups and downs. I'm still trying to get into a routine since I started back to work. I get fustrated because I lost 16 lbs the first week and a half now I'm stuck at the same weight for the past 2 1/2 weeks. When will I loose again?

you will, and you will get stuck plenty of times in the future, just stick with ur fluids and protein and it will come off. :)

It will come off! Your body is just in shock. Hang in there drink, protein and take your vitiamins. Where in PA? I am in the Pittsburgh area.

I live outside of Reading, PA. I had my surgery 8/22.

Doing great thanks, except a pill getting stuck in my esophagus last night for the first time. Down 30#, but seeing weight loss slowing now. Trying to go to the gym regularly and walk. I go back to the surgeon tomorrow for her to hopefully advance me to soft foods!

That s good to hear that your doing good. Be careful with pills that happened to me once also. I'm surprised your not on soft foods already I've been on them for two weeks already. Every Dr is different.

What did you do when a pill got stuck? It still feels weird at the bottom of my esophagus today and it's been well over 12 hours. I am able to eat and drink though...

Yeah, my doctor is very slow progressing the food stages. It got drilled in our heads prior to surgery the risk of rupturing our pouches...i was on liquids for a week after surgery (no protein) then pureeds for a month! I am so sick of it! What do you like to eat on the soft stage?

I drank warm water, it took a little before it released but my book says if we get anything stuck to sip warm water...my Dr told me to eat 3. 1/4 cup meals a day and 1-2 protein shakes a day. My meals consist if all protein chili, chicken, eggs I like egg and cheese omlets with some kind if meat in it. One omlet gets me 3 meals. I've had filet mignon but you need to chew it until its very smooth. Same with pork. I haven't had any veg or fruits yet but miss them.
