Protein Strugglers

I have struggled with protein! Hate meat and protein shakes but last night at GNC I found the Lean Shake and even though they taste sweet... there is no aftertaste! I am so excited! 25 grams of protein with 24 vitamins and minerals! I have to sip it ALL day but wanted to share!

I also drink the lean shakes. Takes me almost 4 hours to get in 14 ozs. Have you tried mixing unflavored Protein powder in foods like mashed potatoes, yogurt, sf pudding, etc?

20 lbs is outstanding!! That's a pound a day!

True I think that's from when I started this but I'm not sure either way its 20 more than I've been able to before I'm now there what I was when I gave birth 20 yrs ago :-) was just hoping for more lol.

Has anyone tried freezing their shake? I just put one in the freezer to try

I use the Isopure Dutch Cholocate...its the only one I found so far that I can tolerate. I am almost 9 months post op and have tried many different shakes. I use as little milk and water as possible so I dont' have to drink so much. I mostly use the shake as my breakfast because they are sooooo filling to me. Stay away from the protein shots they are discusing.... really !!! After a while you just get use to it, I would rather suffer drinking the shakes than lose my hair.

Matrix has a good plain and mint cookies and cream.

Worm I like that one a lot! I would say love but im sick of shakes lol....

I was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday at 5 days post op :( I am struggling to get fluids in because I feel so crummy! ANY suggestions for what I can do to get my protein in for now???? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
