4 Weeks Post Op.. Issues

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I am 4 weeks post op and it seems as though I am beginning to have some issues :( I am completely exhausted all the time.. And still don't feel like myself. I am still having difficulty w getting in my Protein and Water. As of last night I am now getting extremely nauseated after I eat. The food feels stuck and then I vomit. My next appt w my surgeon is next week but ugh! I also have pain in my lower abdomen

jny I am going through same thing. I am a month post op as of today. I feel like I have attacks every other day and it leaves my stomach feeling like someone used it as a punching bag for a day afterwards. I was not sure if its foamies or gallbladder or stricture. but I am pretty sure if it was a stricture it would happen all the time not just every other day. but I did call my surgeon this morning and I go in tomorrow so he can scope me. when you have your "attacks " does it make it hard and painful to take a deep breath? mine does and when I do makes me more nauseated. and it lasts about an hour and last night (sorry tmi) I vomited about 15 times

oh but I don't have pain in lower abdomen. mine is like in the middle of my chest and afterwards my stomach area is sore like where old stomach and pouch would be and across where liver and gallbladder are

It definitely does make it hard to breathe! It's the worst.. I feel like I had less trouble a week ago than I do now. I understand that things are healing but good lord how can I go what I am supposed to do when I feel so crappy? OMG.. We have the same surgery date!!! Keep me posted on what you find out from your surgeon. My appointment is on Tuesday

I will. I just don't know what it is. I would think if it was the foamies I would remember eating or drinking to fast. but one time was just a sip of Water taking my synthroid.

I felt like that until I had some real GOOD bowel movements. I felt like a new person after getting all the crap out of my system. Drink Water and take something if you need to...it was like night and day for me. Best of luck to you.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
