I feel like I can eat too much... I can polish off a whole Wendy's small chili no prob... And most meals I eat I swear they're over half a cup... Only thing is even eating more than I think I should be able to I don't feel sick or like I've eaten too much... I'm still steadily losing every day... And I still stay under 800 calories I just eat til I hit 75g of Protein and stop... 3 meals no Snacks and a 1 Protein Shake a day... Should I be concerned I stretched my pouch? I still have not felt hunger at all... Maybe in just a worry wort

I am getting to the point where I can no longer tell, either. Seems like when they put me on the omeprazole (generic Prilosec) I went from feeling everything digestive to feeling almost nothing. The biggest sensation I still feel is burping and as soon as I do, I quit eating. Since I don't get the signals like before, I use the portion rule. I'm glad I don't have all the sensations as before, they were quite bothersome, but lack of all I had almost makes me (from the digestive standpoint) feel like I never had surgery....... and that isn't good, either! I definitely feel hunger!

I definitely feel hunger now, too. About every 2-3 hours I want to eat. I know at this point I'm not overeating, but I do need to get in the habit of measuring.

I'm almost down 50lbs in 12 weeks. Not too shabby! Congrats to all on the many successes, weight related or not

Been checking in but not posting.... Happy to hear that most are doing well' date=' even if the weight loss isn't what you hoped for. Don't lose hope!

I've been running around to doctors trying to figure out the laryngitis issue that coincided with the bronchitis I developed, early in February. Found out I have a mass on my vocal cords that has to be removed on the 22nd of March. The ENT went down with a scope and found it. Irritated because the physicians assistant at my primary doctor's office was almost angry with me for being so concerned about the laryngitis. So many medications later and still no relief but at least, we finally have a cause. It is covering 2/3's of my vocal cords (both sides) and is quite huge according to him. He doesn't "think" it is cancerous, but rather from prolonged acid reflux. He has put me on 80mg. of omeprazole which has helped tremendously with pouch pain I was experiencing. I never felt any burning in my throat, just an overfullness occasionally. My biggest complaint would be pain in the same pouch region every time I ate. I chalked it up to healing. So today, I had my three month RNY surgeon follow-up and nutrition class. He was pleased with weight loss and all blood work/vitamin levels, etc....normal! Explained everything that's been going on, Healthwise to the surgeon, and he was not concerned about the GERD now, because the medication the ENT provided gave me relief from the pouch pain. Never suggested what it could be but by your posts it sounds like maybe an ulcer. I also agree with all the posts about the clothes shopping being so different, now. I hold clothing up and someone mentions I am buying too big, yep! Still trying to convince myself that I am smaller, compliments and all. I see it, but can't believe it! Wow! Don't always lose the pounds quickly but there always seems to be a shift in the fat cells somewhere! My average loss is only about 2 lbs. a week.[/quote']

MrsBlues,

I'm lifting you up in prayer right now. Glad they found out what was wrong. I pray everything goes smoothly on the 22nd.

My December buddies I am pretty bummed :( I am 3 1/2 months post op and I have been feeling great :) down 57 pounds and learning to adjust to the new me :)today I found out that I have 'several' gallstones and the gallbladder has go go :( I am very apprehensive about having another surgery so soon. My doc says it is very simple and I will be home the same day but I am still very nervous! I am worried about starting the healing process all over again when I am feeling so good (for the most part). I know the gallbladder removal will not be as intense as the bypass but the fear is still there. Any similar situations that can hp to calm my nerves???

I had a complete hysterectomy including lymph nodes a month and half after RNY. I also have gallstones. But fortunately they don't give me too much in problems so far. I'm healing nicely now :-)

I had a total open hysterectomy 6 weeks after an open gallbladder removal. The hysterectomy was SO much worse. You'll do great. Anticipation is the worst! If you are having gallbladder problems now, think how much better you will feel after it's out. You'll be a new woman.

Hysterectomy so much worse than the RNY as well. RNY was a breeze in comparison. Agreed with if your having problems now, you will feel so much better sooner vs later.

Congrats Gen! Wish your pictures were visible. I would have liked to see your progress. I tried on my cell and the RNY website, but it says error on the pictures.

I don't have a similar situation. My doc took my gallbladder out the same time as RNY. I have known several people that have had it done and it is generally a procedure that you recover from quickly. The worst part is the gas pains- remember to move and a warm blanket or towel over the shoulders helps. You will feel better after it is out. No more pains! My advice is to visualize yourself in June feeling great and enjoying the "new" you.

Thanks for all of your support ladies :) It does help to calm my nerves knowing some of you had to go thru a lot worse (and sooner) and have bounced back and are doing great :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
