Magnesium citrate is satan in a bottle.

Stop sugar coating!

I bought three flavors. Lemon, grape, and cherry. Cherry was the one i finally got down.

If i had to do that again i'd ... ... ... Well i'd do something i'm sure of it!

What I'm going to do w the arc is start low on minutes' date=' yesterday 10 and add 1-2 minutes each day. I also need to hit that before walking an hour on treadmill at 3.8-4mph.

There are some people there that just rock that arc. Holy cow. They are on it near an hour. I wished I could do that. My buttocks would be so toned, lol.

I actually hate that I have to have this surgery and start all over again w the exercise, or at least it will feel like it. Sunday going on liquid diet for the surgery, lol. Monday have to take magnesium citrate, blah. (I think that's what it's called)

Keep walking! In one of my classes right now they taught us that 150 minutes of exercise a week should be a goal for everyone. It doesn't have to be all at once. Consider this a bump in creating your new "you". The first time I got on the arc I thought I was gonna collapse after 15 minutes. I have built up to 35 and today I am shooting for 40. Then I swim- that's my little reward and to cool off. There are some people that are on it for an hour while texting and reading. I dunno how they do it. I try to visualize myself thin. I also park the furthest away from every place I go and take the stairs. I have a class that's up on the fifth floor so that was a real challenge the first week. I let all the younger kids pass me by while I was huffing. It's getting easier.

I saw my PCP yesterday. I have lost 52 pounds since my last visit to her beginning of December. I sat there shocked. I lost 12 on the prep diet. I still have a lot more to go til onederland (love that) but I am so happy to have my tool to help me. My doc stressed that there's a lot of healing still going on and that is why I get so tired at night.

I don't envy you having to suck down the mag citrate. Be sure to chill it. Ugh. I hope you sail through this surgery well. It helps you that you have lost a lot of weight. The anesthesiologist wouldn't touch you a third time if they thought it would be a risk. Practice deep breathing. It will help expand your lungs preop, relax you and blow off the anesthetic post op. Blow away the anxiety and visualize yourself in a good spot. Like lying on the beach with a cabana boy serving you fruity (sugar free) cocktails!

I've been to red lobster' date=' Applebee's, and Outback Steakhouse... All 3 places I found something to eat (fish and chips, chicken quesadilla, and grilled chicken) ate a little listened to my body and when I thought I was full I stopped... Fish and chips and quesadilla made several meals... Chicken at outback was off child's menu and not enough left to bring home... Haven't had a problem and was able to enjoy myself[/quote']

Im going out this weekend. I had surgey 12/19. Im not suppose to have bread yet. Did you ever have any issues with the tortillas. When did your dr ok you for bread?

Thanks,

Oh' date=' I'm so envious!! I had surgery the same day and have been stalled 3 weeks. I have lost 24 lbs since starting the pre liquid and only 14 since surgery. I am so proud for you and it gives me hope. I'm a slow loser in General so it will happen, I guess. At least eating healthy and not gaining so just holding on. Keep up the good work!!![/quote']

I had surgery same day as all of you and I'm down 31 lbs. Congrats to you both! Everyone loses at different rates. As long as we lose, it's okay. Patience and good luck!

Geez I wished I could lose weight like you. Are you working out?

Honestly' date=' I've gotten used to the dumping. My stomach isn't tolerating chicken breast very well. But I love it and keep insisting on trying it every few days, but... It is always w chicken :-( maybe I won't be able to eat it for a long time :-(

Gen :-) 12/15/12[/quote']

Try a dip for the chicken. I find if can dip it, it works. Hope this helps.

That is what I was told to try some fat free gravy or something. I just never used it on it so I never thought of it. So I'm glad I was given the idea :-)

So I have to admit that I'm starting to get scared now for surgery next Thursday after the talks of the death and cancer earlier. I have a 16 yo that can't count on her father to do the right thing. This is my 3rd time going under anesthesia in a month and half.

Gen :-) 12/15/12

Well girl-God and karma are two strong forces you have on your side. You've been super supportive on this site, we're here in whatever way we can be to help you. Just take care of yourself. Hugs

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
