So I'm a little shaken up. Surgery is tomorrow' date=' was on Clear Liquids today and had to drink that magnesium citrate to clear my bowels. After that I wasn't feeling well so I laid down. My 7 year old comes in screaming that the three year old was bleeding and dad couldn't get it to stop. I jumped up, realized his teeth were displaced and we rushed him to the dentist where they did emergency oral surgery to remove two teeth. It was a brutal surgery since they were still attached to the bone... Lots of blood.

Anyways, as soon as the last suture was placed, I passed smooth out in the office, came to and puked my guts up. Also my stool is bright red, but that citrate drink was red.

Do y'all think I'm ok to have surgery tomorrow?[/quote']

Yes. Stool is red bc of the drink. So sorry for your son. Hope he gets well soon and good luck to you tomorrow!

Well I've known her for a few years and I only heard about this since I told her about me having the surgery she was trying to discourage me from having it...I'm only 6 days post op and don't really have anyone else to talk to..and since my surgery she doesn't really talk to me anymore..if I tell her about the pain I'm in..she tells me quit whinning about it..I choose to do it..I don't know what I did its seems like I lost my best friend

Our surgery is impossible to be done in office! She isn't your friend. She is jealous bc you are getting healthy and she isn't. You can talk to us. :-)

I'm so nervous!! Surgery is 12/29. I went to my pcp today- I've been sick for awhile a cough, then laryngitis. He said its actually bronchitis and put me on strong antibiotics. He said I should be okay for surgery by the 29th, but I'm afraid my surgeon is going to take one look at me on Friday at my preop appt and say no way :( I'm a teacher so I have two weeks off. If I don't do surgery now I won't have a chance till march :(

I had surgery on Dec 5 and I was just treated for sinus and upper resp infection and I was fine.....they gave me a bag of antibiotic via iv immediately after surgery. I would take mucinex in addition to the antibiotic.

Thank you...maybe she is..its as if she changed overnight..she said had asked once if I think I'm better than her that's why I'm doing the surgery..but that's not why I'm still gonna be the same person I am now..just healthier..oh well I'm not gonna stay this way for anyone

Seems she wants to keep you where she is....i applaud you for moving forward for you! If she was a good friend she would be supportive in whatever choice you make..just my opinion

OMG I am so sorry to hear about your son he is in my prayers as are you... Yes the reason your stool is red is the red citrate you drank the reason you passed out is you were stressed already then got woke up to a horrific experience which when was all said and done everything you are stressing over hit you like a ton of bricks and was just alittle much at one time so take a deep breathe and look to the future goal you should come through this just fine....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
