Hello Everybody .....

My name is Barbara I am 49 years old and I live in Northern Calif Near Sacramento ...I am having my RNY done Nov 29th I will be glad to help anyone who would like to do clothes swap I am wearing a 18 size pants and my shirts are XL to 2 XL I have alot of t-Shirts ...but will post when they are too big for me all my clothes are clean and come from a Smoke free home but I have 2 kittys ...

Welcome to the group your a young looking 49 year old :) how was surgery? What was highest weight? How much you lost? How much you set your goal weight to be?

Hello Nice to meet you ...I am having my surgery this Thursday the 29th ...and yes I hear that all the time but come April i hit the Big 50 LOL...my highest weight ever was probably 265 and my Goal weight I would like to get to is 145 LB I am on the 2 week preop diet right now

Oops I missed the part that you said your going to have surgery the 29th lmbo. I'm having a blonde moment Lolz that's great you are all set for the big date thinking of exchanging clothes. I donated all mine. Was size 18 now size 4. Was 211lbs as of today 127lbs only 2lbs to goal weight of 125lbs then will set a new goal weight. Only one more time then done. Don't wanna be a tooth pick neither lmbo. My mom will be 50 in February. Your also pretty :) only in the real world I have 1 friend that I'm older then her she's 22. Everyone else is older then me by 1 to 15 years or more. My hubby took the cake he is 21 years older then me. Nice meeting you & you will love this group.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
