November 1, 201213 yr Chap stick has always been at the top of most of the lists I've seen. Wear in loose clothes to wear home and bring a pillow from home to use as for belly support for the ride home. I drove 3 hours from home to have my surgery so having a pillow with me for the ride home was priceless.

November 1, 201213 yr I was told loose sweats as some people go home with drain.. Bathrobes a must because you'll be encouraged to walk and will most likely be required to wear hospital gown during hospital stay slippers , Chapstick ,toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant brush, phone charger, pillow, socks, underwear, large hoody for the ride home
November 1, 201213 yr I only brought what I wore to the hospital, snook which I did not read bc I was too out of it and my cell phone.. They provide you most of what you need and honestly I was in and out of it the whole time so I didn't need much more than the tv being on
November 1, 201213 yr That was a great list. Since I have had a couple of surgerys and some hosiptal stay. The number one thing for me is I have to have noise when I am walking or moving around so I did take my ipod and the charger for everything electric you take. I learned that lession the hard way. Also bring something that confort you. We I am put into a new area it sometime freak me out a little...so if I had my favorite pillow or teddy it was nice and calming. Make sure that you also take your meds even over the counter one with you. I also had a list of them and on the list was the name, dosage, how often I took it and when I normally took it. For example: Lisinopril 15mg 1 1/2 tablets by mouth daily at night Levothyroxine 0.05mg 1 tablet by mouth daily in the morning an hour before breakfast And so forth. Hope that helps. Thanks Cheryl
