Nothing wrong with you! You dropped the weight of a 3 year old! Holding my soon to be 3 year old who is 32 lbs that's a lot girl! Be happy & proud. From what I've learned the most of this support group we ALL lose at different paces.

I am 8 weeks out and as of Tuesday I was 32 pounds down. I do think to myself some days why is it not coming off faster :-( but then I think about all the loose skin I don't want sagging all over my body and am grateful that it is coming off steadily. I know eventually I will get there. remember surgery isn't a magic it's a tool to help train is for our future. So rejoice in the 35 pounds cause you are doing a fantastic job.....

Don't feel bad... I will be 6 months post op on 10/9 and I am only down 41 lbs. the past month the weight has really slowed. I increased my walking to jogging, increased my intensity and working out a 1/2 longer.... God I hope that helps. I am in such a slump but I will NOT get discouraged !!!!

I lost 30 lbs on my pre op and 35 lbs since surgery. I talked to my nutritionist and she said I'm normal. She said 1st month is 20-30 lbs and about 10 lbs each month after that. I need to excersize more.

I had surgery 7/3 and have only lost 36.5 lbs as of today. Everyone doesn't lose as fast. My starting weight was 259. Stay encouraged.

You don't gain weight that fast, don't expect to lose over night. Your losing weight that's the key point and you guys are right the faster you lose the less time your skin has to shrink. So keep your chin up your doing good.

I'm 5 week post op and have lost 28 pounds. Doctor said I was only expected to loose 25 pounds in 6 weeks. I'm a little ahead. I'm like you, I wanted more and faster. Now I think about the loose skin and I'm okay with progress. ( 2 wks post op, I went into gallbladder removal surgery too)

Thanks ladies!! I guess I should be more grateful and less hard on myself. I've lost 65 including my pre op weight loss.

Everybody is different. You've lost more than me and I'm three months out. You're doing great!!!!!

My surgery date was July 6. Tomorrow will be my 3 month anniversary. My highest weight was 319 last year in May. My weight before surgery was 265.5. Today I am 227.1. So it's 38 lbs. but 9 were the first week post op. sometimes I read posts that people lost so much more than me and I get frustrated. I also get frustrated when I go back and forth a couple of pounds. I am however losing more fat than muscle so that is good and I'm down to a size 18 first time in 20 years. So really it's that we are so anxious to be an ideal weight that we get frustrated. Think that you're losing not gaining like before. You're doing great.

you are doing great. but think of it another way, ask yourself some questions:

Do i Have more energy?

Do I feel better?

Has any medical condition you may have had started to improve?

Are your clothes fitting a little looser?

Then pat yourself on the back and keep on doing what you are doing, It will work.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
