I sometimes wonder if the goal I picked is realistic or not. I have been a "big" girl for over 20 years so dont know if I am setting myself up for failure or not. I have set a goal weight but it isnt set in stone. I am just gonna see where this wild ride takes me and go from there. Honestly just want to weigh what my drivers license says I weigh! ha!!

:-) yeah I have no idea what's realistic... I've always been small I weighed 135lbs before my kids four years ago but I'm 270 now :-/ I'm also frustrated bc it's only a few days after my surgery but I'm so swollen I can't wear any of my clothes :-(

A few months before my surgery I researched all about the weight loss process and my goal was to loose 25lbs in the month of my surgery, including 2wk liquid diet and for every month after that my goal is to loose 10lbs a month.

I was 263 when I started and now (a month later) I'm at 228, 35lbs down, so I'm ahead of my goal but for the month of September my goal is to still loose 10lbs and keep that number.

My real goal is to consume enough fluids, nutrition and calories, I almost forget its about the weight loss sometimes...

I am 6 days post op and on my surgery day I weighed 253. Yesterday I weighed myself thinking Hey it's almost been one week. Three scale said 238. Which is awesome! I am hoping it will be similar to my Dr scales. Bc you can only use one scale and go by it. I want to lose a total of 100lbs. I want to weigh 150. Makes me all excited thinking about it! I think 10lbs a month is realistic. The first two months possibly 20lbs each. Your swelling should go down soon I didn't have that happen to me so I really don't know. Good luck with your journey!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
