Post Op Wk Sleeve Revised Into Bypass

Hey I'm a week out yesterday! Had surgery last Thursday had to go back to work Tuesday. I'm a teacher. Just in service. I had a so called knot in my esophagus from the stricture he straightened that out but went ahead and by passed me also. I have felt ok pretty sore. Came home with drain tube. They took it out Wednesday. Now I have developed a low grade fever 99.9-100. Kinda nervous. Called today said if it reached over 101 to call back. Please advise from experience. I'm nervous now that I've developed this fever

I had the same revision on Monday. Low grade fevers are normal early out. I been having them on and off. I would worry if I was really out of it durring the fever. Hope you feel better soon!

You will be fine. Best wishes

Can I ask why you are doing a revision from sleeve to bypass? I will be getting the bypass, but my sister just had the sleeve. How did the sleeve fail you?

I had a severe stricture esophagus almost basically in a knot. I could eat no food. Did good to get liquids down. We had to by Pass this spot this was our only solution.
