One Week Post Op Info

My surgery was one week ago today. It has been a challenge to stay hydrated, the first few days I was pretty dehydrated and almost went to the hospital a few times. But I pulled through and had no major complications!

The stats:

Preop diet weight loss 15 lbs and lost 11 pounds this week for a total of 26 pounds in two weeks!

I know this is just the beginning but I'm really excited for the rest of the journey!

Has everyone here had the laparoscopic surgery or open procedure? How about the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery?

I had gastric bypass laparoscopically. No dains, No stitches etc. The surgery was the easiest part I did not feel anything. I think your stomach is very sore afterwards for moving all the instruments around in the tiny 6 incisions.

This is day 5 and I have nooo energy. Bleeding is light dr said put a bandage. I'm getting my Water and Protein and Vitamins in but all wanna do is sleep. Lord hear my prayer.

Holy crap u get protein already :( !! I am day 6 and still on Clear liquids. Low energy is to be expected hun and from what I have read very normal. Try not to overdo it and make sure your staying hydrated! Watch the drainage for color/smell and heat/redness around sites but hang in there!
