Has the sweating stopped?

Can I just say Madam Reverie that I LOVE your humor!

:)

Why, thank you, KrittyKratt! Although in fairness, I wasn't trying to be funny in that one. I was stating a fact. I am that sad and I am that cold!

I am still waiting for the cold to start. My wife thinks that i tolerate the heat better and that may be true but I still love the cold. I am closing in on my goal so perhaps it wont work for me.

maybe not because for me the cold started right after surgery. It is better now, but I am still colder than most.

The sweats have stopped.......People always gave me warm winter gear......I guess because I didn't wear it, maybe they thought I was in need LOL

It was 74 in the house yesterday, and I threw on a sweatshirt for a few minutes to get the chill out.....my husband is always cold, so he's looking forward to this winter when I won't belly ache that the house is too hot LOL

So I was wondering' date=' while dripping in sweat from doing laundry, have you stopped sweating like a pig after you lost weight?[/quote']

I used to be hot all the time! After losing my "layers of insulation" I'm cold a lot more now. 90+ # gone :-)

I think it's like the hair that keeps animals warm, only ours is fat. Lol

I am sure being cold all the sucks. But I am so ready to make that trade. Sweating has actually really held me back. I dont like to go to parties, football games, work events etc..because I sweat so easily and its embarrasing. I do employee benefits and and consulting. I have to give presentations all the time and I am ALWAYS nervous about sweating in my suit and never about the actual presentation! Its crazy.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
