So I've been photologging my weight loss journey and wasn't going to show my pics until I was finished, but this most recent set of pictures is SUCH a contrast from where I started. I am about 2/3 of the way to goal, and it's been almost 11 months. If these pictures don't show what the sleeve is capable of, I don't know what is. WOW! I feel incredible!post-41718-13813670302595_thumb.jpg post-41718-13813670303944_thumb.jpg post-41718-13813670305317_thumb.jpg post-41718-13813670306605_thumb.jpg

Thanks everyone!

Carlotta, I am 5'3", I have set my goal weight so low because I've been there before in my adult life, so I don't think it will be unreasonable to get there again, and I actually have built myself in a 10 lb 'buffer', i.e. once I get to goal, I am pretty sure there will be some settling out of my body, I may go up a few pounds before it regulates, so I've set a 10 lb comfort zone for my weight to fluctuate once I'm at goal. where I feel that I will still be happy.

Amazing! I hope I can do the same, I am not due to be sleeved until January. How hard did you exercise? I am so afraid that is going to be my down fall.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
