Hello October 2nd!

Since there seem to be quite a few of us now, I thought we should have our own place to talk. I start my preop diet tomorrow. I get 1 meal of meat and veggies, 2 shakes and unlimited jello. Is anyone else just on liquids?

It's getting down to crunch time' date=' so close! How much has everyone lost on their preop? . I've lost none![/quote']

I've lost five. I got me some whey Protein bullets to drink after surgery. 42gm protein. Has anyone else tried them. I got grape, and watermelon.

Hello everyone, I am having an Oct. 2 surgery day also. I have been on preop diet 3 days and it has been hard! Just keep telling myself I can do this.

My surgery is oct 3. I've been on a protein shake diet only for the last 3 weeks; four weeks in total. I see so many people do it for less Time. My bmi was 54 when I started. Maybe that why I had to go on it for so long. Just curious.

No preop diet since I was fast tracked to surgery. Anyone heard how awful post op co2 gas was. I had it after gallbladder & it hurt for 3 days' date=' no incision pain, awful co2 dissipating into skin and shoulder. Miserable. People say oh walk it off. It's not that kind of gas, that suggestion is useless. I looked at sev other surgical sites, no recs.[/quote']

How did you get fast tracked to surgery?

Getting excited! Went shopping today bought all of the stuff for my pre and post op diet.

I'm curious what did you get? I've tried to get a variety. I really hate the shakes. I don't mind the liquid isopure or jello.

I bought EAS advantage shakes, I've heard the were the best. I tried the Unjury and really liked them too.

Employee at hospital and already out with broken leg, so requested to have done while already out

Oh my! My family just had steaks, potatoes, and veggies! :(. My jello and crystal light ain't the same. A few more days! Family is very supportive, just hard for me to even smell food right now.
