Hello October 2nd!

Since there seem to be quite a few of us now, I thought we should have our own place to talk. I start my preop diet tomorrow. I get 1 meal of meat and veggies, 2 shakes and unlimited jello. Is anyone else just on liquids?

Ok had my surgery at 10 am and slept off and on the whole day, there is definite gas pains in the top of my stomach, waked twice, it really kinda helped it. They gave me a different medicine so right now I not in some type if sleeping coma. Looking forward to a shower in the morning and a fresh gown (mine) and visitors. I was in no shape for visitors today. Have a better tomorrow ladies

I'm surprised I haven't had many gas pains. I've had 3 tiny cramps, followed by 3 tiny burps and that's it. No chest pain or anything like that, like I read some people had. I have my heating pad ready just in case though

So this is my stomach! Old and new, right before they took the old part out. I had to bug everyone for a picture, but I'm nosy and wanted to see lol

I haven't had to many either. My left side hurts a ton and the Meds are making me itch. Plus my left side feels like is sucked in.

Finally going home! They took my jp drain out a few minutes ago, and it was so gross! There was 2-3 inches of ribbed white plastic on the end of it. Felt really weird coming out. Glad to be going home for sure. Hope everyone else is doing well

Glad you are going home. Rest well.

How's everyone doing? I'm feeling pretty good. :).i just got to take a shower and walked a few laps. I should get to go home tomorrow. My doctor and nutritionist are saying I get full liquids to go home on. That makes me very excited!

That is good news. Take care of yourself.

I'm feeling so much better today! Came home yesterday and slept for a long time. Was up on and off all night. No real pain just still really exhausted. Swallowing is tough but I figure that will get better each day! Can't believe I'm not even hungry! Love it!!

I am home now, but I am feeling the gas right now. It's coming an going. I just wish I could burp real good. Fluids are going down slow, but it will get better! I understand not feeling hungry. It's crazy to me. Hope everyone is doing good.

Surgery went well for me too...having some trouble keeping liquids down but that has gotten much better! I should be going home tonight!
