  1. First of all I don't think it's your place to judge anyone here. We all know how long it took to get this size and we all took action to get the help we need to loose it. But when you get sleeved, the weight comes off fast at first, I was loosing 2lbs here and 3lbs there and then it halted. With all the struggles a person goes through right after surgery, it kinda puts you into a why????? Mode. Why did it stop, what am I doing wrong??? This web site I belief it for information and knowledge from people who have been through it and can inform you if your doing something wrong or not. Kinda of a place where you can get support and help when you need it. I know it's going to take time for it to lose but I am here to get the support from people who have been through it so I know that I am not doing something wrong. You have the right to speak your mind but please don't judge me because you really don't know me or what the past month has been like for me. Good luck on your surgery and weight loss.
  2. I agree Holly, I like this website but to read how some people are shedding the weight and then you are not.... It makes you think your doing something wrong. I guess it just comes back to the saying everyone's body is different and will react different. Still makes me wish I was a shedder lol. Keep strong, I am trying to. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone.
  3. I had surgery on October 2, and at first I lost 10 prep and then another 14 post op but then nothing...... Can't understand how I can be only eating 700 calories a day and nothing is coming off!!!! I am back to work, working on improving my protein intake which was only 30 or so a day up to 60 yesterday and working on drinking more water but I am stuck at this weight. It's really discouraging after all I have went through. Everyone tells me to be patient but after over two weeks of nothing lost, how am I to be patient???? Any thoughts????
  4. I know what you mean three or four bites and it's over. My concern is that I can't get over 700 calories a day and I can't get over 30 grams of protein in me a day. Doing some research on line and I figured out that's why I stopped losing weight, not enough calories per day will slow your metabolism down because it's feeding off your muscle. That's worrisome! Just started vitamins and tomorrow I will do some protein shakes to help. Happy two weeks ladies!! :/
  5. I know it took me a few days to have one and I wasn't concerned at all, after everything our stomachs have been through I am sure it's a major adjustment and it did come with time. Good luck to you!
  6. Good luck at the doctors appt. going to try some pumpkin spice creamer with a cup of coffee in the morning. I drank a half a cup of coffee this am. The light is getting brighter
  7. Hello ladies! Just wanted to share, I don't know how many of you have been feeling like I have..... Like I can't get enough to drink, well last night I figured out if I shaved my ice in the snow cone machine, I feel like I am getting a bigger drink without actually getting one. Things are going much better, losing weight daily, I am thinking that's exactly why we all did this. Have a great day!!!
  8. Good morning and Happy 1 week anniversary to you also!!! I am doing much better, it turns out that I developed acid reflux from the procedure and taking Previcid to help with all that acid bubbling up and I also was told instead of getting up at 4am to eat something to calm my tummy to take some chewable Tums and it worked!!!! I am 12lbs down in a week and things look much better! Have a great day! Nice to hear your doing well!
  9. Yeah the smoothies have been easier to get down. Things are looking a little brighter. Small sips and belching afterwards. Those little air bubbles hurt. It takes me a hour and a half to eat a small container of applesauce. I went and bought a faberware cup blending set for $20 bucks and it's really does a good job a the purée, It just takes time to get the smoothie down. It's an adjustment I am slowly learning. Glad to see your doing ok
  10. Hi everyone! Sorry it's been days since I posted, I have been miserable, it hurts to drink, I can't hardly eat anything, lots of gas bubbles with every drink or bite. This morning my family made me a berry smoothie, it's the first thing I could get down without much pain. I have been waking up every two hours at night, waking up early and taking a afternoon nap. I have been feeling kinda weak, but I am sure it's from the lack of food I hope y'all are doing better then I have been doing. I guess the only good point in this for me so far is that I have lost a total of 16 pounds, 10 before surgery and six since. Looking for easier days.
  11. Ok had my surgery at 10 am and slept off and on the whole day, there is definite gas pains in the top of my stomach, waked twice, it really kinda helped it. They gave me a different medicine so right now I not in some type if sleeping coma. Looking forward to a shower in the morning and a fresh gown (mine) and visitors. I was in no shape for visitors today. Have a better tomorrow ladies
