Living below goal!
I dont mind...I'm 39 as of last week. It all started with couch to 5k before I was sleeved. At 3 months out I hooked up with a trainer for about 6 months and my baseline was 1 mile non-stop running when I started with her. She showed me what to do with the weights as far as creating different routines. After 6 months, I took over for myself! I haven't done too bad!

I don't log in here as much as I used to...I don't have the app due to phone space :-( But thank you all for the support and kind words you have left for me! What an awesome surprise! For those looking to start running I recommend couch to 5k and if you want to lift weights I strongly recommend getting an independent trainer to give you some routines to follow. I found a trainer for $25 per session, and I used her for a few months and now I'm smaller than she is. I took the knowledge I learned from her and did my own research and came up with something that works for me :-)

Living below goal!
Thank you Kate! The secret to getting my miles up was parking my car at the trail start and running out half the distance...the mere thought of how long it would take to walk back kept my feet moving on the way back! The first time I ran 8 miles I had some Hilarious commentary going through my mind! Lol!

Now I am working out 5-6 days a week doing weights one day, Orangetheory one day, yoga one day and running all other days.- Living below Goal: VSG success!
I worked out every single day of 2014 as a challenge. I was lifting weights 2-3 days per week and doing yoga once a week and running all other days. Lots of body weight exercises (burpees, yoga, push-ups,planks, etc) will have you toned up in no time! Consistency is key.- October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!

Hey all! I haven't posted since the very early days out...I was sleeved on 10/2/13 at 273 pounds. I reached goal in 9.5 months which was 159 pounds which would put me at a normal bmi. At about 8 months post op I started running. That was a game changer! I have since completed a triathlon, a 5k, 2 10ks, 4 half marathons, and on January 25th, 2015 I became a marathoner! I went on to lose and additional 20 pounds and I've been maintaining 20 pounds below goal ever since. From a size 22/24 to a size 2/4. I eat clean and train hard! I am really living my best life now!- Living below Goal: VSG success!

CW: 151.8!!!!!!!!!!- General questions 6 mths out
Just saw your last question...I stopped tracking 3 months out...I decided I will start back tracking when not tracking is not working for me. Trial it for a week and see how you do.- General questions 6 mths out
1. I don't do protein shakes...trying to cut down on artifical sweeteners and eat more whole unprocessed foods...but if you don't have a problem with lunch meat you can do lunch meat roll-ups with cheese and eat them as a snack. That will give you an extra 20-30gm. 2. I had reflux before surgery so I have to take my prilosec at least every other day or I will get a reminder! lol 3. Didn't loose much. 4. Not a morning person anyway. I perk up after coffee. - Living below goal!
