Don't want to lose my breasts

You wont :) They will shrink. They will probably sag, but you won't lose them. I started out a 44DD, went to a 42DD, then a 40D, and a 40C, then a 38D, and now I'm a 36DD. They are not as 'firm' as they once were, I've had to go bra shopping quite a few times in the last 10 months, but I am happy to say that they still look great, and they fit my body well still. If you do lose them, you can always get them filled again :) Don't worry, all of us go through breast changes. There is a really good topic thread about them if you search the powder room for 'boobs' I think it's about 6-8 months old now. It is many of us talking about our breast experiences. Just think of how good your body is going to look as you lose the weight :)

You probably won't. It really depends on your breast makeup. If you have really fatty breast tissue then, yes, you might lose quiet a bit. If your breasts are more dense tissue then you probably won't lose much. I had a breast reduction 10 years ago. Vi had vsg in feb. I have lost about 60 lb since surgery and my cup size hasn't changed. I was a c cup before surgery and I still am. Maybe slightly less full but not much. My band size has reduced some though. I wouldn't worry about it too much : ). Good luck!

Thank you so much...this site has been a life saver for me. It is such a blessing to have people who have already been through the concerns that "us' newbies have. You all are life savers!!

I have not lost cup size yet but have gone from 40 something to 36 band. I've noticed that the sleeve doesn't seem to shrink the girls too bad but it attacks the double chin/face and but first. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing...wow, your weight loss is amazing! I am excited to know that I have been approved and after I have my EGD and esophageal manometry tests done, I can get a surgery date by year end. Keep up the great work and thanks for the encouragement!

I started out at 289lbs. 2 wks pre-op I was 266. I am now 3 weeks post op and I am now 240lbs. I started out at a very tight 44D. I am now comfortable in a 42D. The girls are drooping a bit more. By the time I get down to my goal weight of 160 I am sure they will look like skin socks that I'll be able to roll up and place in my bra. But my kind hearted husband has already given me permission to have the girls "fixed" when my weight have leveled off. He's even agreed to the lower body lift if I need it.

But I have passed up buying a new car in order to save $ for a 1 1/2 to 2 years so we can afford the plastics in the end.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
