How is everyone doing? I'm in alot pain and the gas is horrible

I got sleeved yesterday around 2PM and things are going okay there was a ton of pain yesterday but today is better. Still trying to get all that painful gas out. I was so nauseas all day and night yesterday they wouldn't let me have any Water or ice chips. Today I had my leak test and I was given the clearance for stage 2. The nurse said the goal was 4oz per hour and i have been able to do that for the most part some hours i only get 1 or 2 oz in. They let me have stage 3 stuff for dinner which was a carnation Breakfast start shake. Ready to get healed they said the best way to have less pain and to get the gas out was to walk so I have been walking every few hours. How is everyone else doing?

Doing better today. I have slept a lot. Did not use as much pain medicine as the hospital thought I would, but the nausea was horrible. Threw up once on one of my walks and thought I was dying. Was released yesterday and have been off and on passes out. Trying to drink as much as I can, but it is difficult.

I'm going he today. Had to stay an extra day due to high blood pressure and nausea. Feeling pretty painful and crappy do far.

Hey all. Just checking in. I got to come home yesterday. Monday night was horrible. Felt so nauseated and kept dry heaving. They changed my pain med to something way less stronger and tried another nausea med and I've been much better since then. Having a really hard time drinking. I do ok with Water but I know my doc wants me getting my Protein in too. Trying on the protein but really focusing on water so I don't get dehydrated. This drinking is a full time job.

Hope everyone else is doing good or doing better as the days go by!

Hi everyone. Just got home a few minutes ago. Got sleeved in Monday. Monday in the recovery unit, slept almost all afternoon. Wast taken to my room and my roommate was very chatty. The talking made me nauseous, and would make me cough. I wad coughing up dark brown with bright green mucous. Also, I would foam up and felt like I was drowning. Yesterday was better. Today has been good. The only pain I feel is a burning sensation in the site of the biggest wounds where they removed the stomach.

I guess I lucked out. I have really not felt any pain. not even from the incisions (where the drain is at or where they removed my stomach.) I did feel uncomfortable in the hospital trying to sit up and get out of bed. I did throw up once (which was the worst of the whole ordeal). But all in all, it has been a decent experience for me. Surgeon was pretty cool to boot as well. Hope everyone's surgery was a success. Looking forward for the results that will come.

I'm a 23rd sleever too!!! Ive had hardly no pain just feels like I did a major ab workout. Its more sore to me. I am, however, feeling nauseous. I dont want to take the meds b/c they make me sleepy. Oh and I can hardly get the protein shake down. It get this gurgling sound when I put anything in my mouth.

I got back yesterday. I am super sore on the incision where my stomach was removed but the rest of me is fine. No Gas problems or eating issues. I am very tired. The cool thing was my surgeon gave me 6 colored photos of my insides. I saw my stomach before and after. I saw my gall bladder. I saw the staples and the way he sews it over again. The part that was the most fascinating with me was my fat, The pictures only confirm my decision, my organs are swimming in belly fat. I hope everyone is having a speedy recovery.

I just found a negative side effect of the surgery. My uvula is swollen. Doesn't hurt but it is very irritating. I assume it was from the tube they put down my throat during surgery. Anybody else have this?
