  1. Way to go!! Those are great stats
  2. I was sleeved on 9-23 and am 5'10, I bet you're feeling like April will never get here at least I know I felt like my sleeve date took forever. But it'll be here before you know it, almost felt like it was never coming then all of a sudden snuck up on me. When were you sleeved? Your stats are very similar to mine. I'm getting sleeved in April. Congrats!
  3. I would have done the samething you did I don't think I would have been able to bite my tongue. My family and in laws have been super supportive and understanding about why I couldn't eat certain things. I am very thankful for that. Did they back off you after you said something? Sleeved sept 9, 2013 Starting weight 380lbs Current weight 261lbs Christmas was the worst! I stuck to my surgeons rules, but all of my inlaws kept on my arse saying things like "it's Christmas! You have to have something!" "It's Christmas! You have to have a drink!" "It's Christmas! Enjoy!" I FINALLY STOOD UP ON MY CHAIR AND SAID "I need everyone to listen to my words! I PAID $12000, had surgery in Mexico TO FIX WHAT I HAVE BEEN DESTROYING FOR THE LAST 10 years!!!" I think I hurt their feelings. But for the last 10 years they have been sitting there judging me and treating me horribly for gaining almost 180lbs. REALLY PEOPLE!!?? Anyway! CONGRATS to you people for losing and wish you many great successes!!!!!
  4. Wow, way to go :-) You were sleeved 4 days after me!
  5. Happy New Years to you too! 72 pounds is awesome way to go! I agree on the moderation I am focusing on changing my mental cravings which seem to be the hardest to overcome.
  6. Hope everyone had great holidays with their families I just wanted to post an update and I was curious to see everyone elses updates as well. Starting Weight: 316 Surgery Weight:299 Goal Weight: 160 Current weight: 238 Biggest challenge: Getting all my fluids in, I wait to drink 30 min after I eat but i still struggle with remembering not to drink 30 min before I eat. Biggest Fail: I had some alcohol over the holidays *hangs head in shame* Biggest accomplishment: I am almost to my goal of weighing 230 by January 10th!!
  7. I am 9 days post op and I totally licked the seasoning of a dorito... And took a tiny bite of my husbands chicken salad. Chewed the heck out of it before swallowing but it was sooo good.
  8. Okay I was hoping that it just goes through my sleeve, but I couldn't help but get freaked out thinking there might be 8oz in my sleeve and me not be able to tell.
  9. I had surgery Monday and on discharge they said to drink 4oz of fluids an hour but if i could drink more then i could till i felt comfortable. I have been drinking some crystal light for the past 45 min, got 8 oz down and don't feel any signs of fullness. I am not going to drink anymore just because i feel like 8oz is a lot for a small stomach. So my question is how many oz are they able to hold? And should I be worried that I don't feel any signs of my stomach being full after 8oz?
  10. I started noticing that yesterday feels like a sore throat I assumed it was from the tube also.
  11. Good luck! Praying for a quick recovery!
  12. WOWZERS you all look amazing!! I am going home from the hospital soon after being sleeved on Monday and you guys are such a great inspiration and reminder that this will be so worth it!!
  13. I got sleeved yesterday around 2PM and things are going okay there was a ton of pain yesterday but today is better. Still trying to get all that painful gas out. I was so nauseas all day and night yesterday they wouldn't let me have any Water or ice chips. Today I had my leak test and I was given the clearance for stage 2. The nurse said the goal was 4oz per hour and i have been able to do that for the most part some hours i only get 1 or 2 oz in. They let me have stage 3 stuff for dinner which was a carnation Breakfast start shake. Ready to get healed they said the best way to have less pain and to get the gas out was to walk so I have been walking every few hours. How is everyone else doing?
  14. I am from Michigan also and getting sleeved on the 23rd
  15. Hi I am a newbie here, I am having surgery on the 23rd and have been on an 11 day high protein low carb pre op diet that is going okay. I am getting nervous as the days are going by!!
