Has anyone tried the Vita-max liquid Multi-Vitamin? I just can not get the pill down even if I cut it in half.

I bought it before my surgery and could not get past the smell. Disgusting !

I too feel very hungry. I am on the puréed foods. I'm wondering if the amount of hunger depends on the size of our pouches...

I felt hungry all the time while I was on pureed foods and full liguids. Now that I am on soft food and able to chew I fill up and stay full easily. I honestly thought I did not have my stomach really sleeved, that the doctor had not done enough of a stomach pouch removal. Now I know it is for sure. I get full fast and I stay full longer.

Thank you sooooo much for sharing that!! I was really starting to think the sleeve wasn't going to work, that the doctor hadn't removed enough of the pouch- or that i had stretched it out- very comforting to hear that- i am in the pureed stage right now- hoping to move to soft foods next week :)

I too was sleeved Aug 12 and including preop have lost 30lbs. Just wondering if you are really weak. Sometimes it's even difficult to hold a blow dryer!

I was sleeved August 22 and yes I feel week now too. I was ok for the first 3 weeks this last week and a half I have been feeling run down. I drink my Protein since I still have trouble eating the Protein. But I think I'm not getting enough Water. Yet I drink all day.

I was sleeved on 8/12/13. I'm happy with the weight loss, but experience nausea most of the day. Any ideas what I can do or what may be happening? I also have diarrhea -- this started when I began the pre-op clear liquid diet and still continues. I'm 5 weeks post op now. Help!

The nausea is a bit concerning. Have you spoken to your surgeon? I was sent home with Zofran and took it the first week, I have no idea if I needed it but I wasn't about to find out. Besides a bad Vitamin incident I've never been nauseous.

I am nauseous every time after I eat. I put a very small portion in a very small bowl and eat slowly but still feel nauseous and have to lay down.

Oh and I feel hungry as well. To those that posted earlier.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
