I have a silly question. I had my procedure the 27th of Aug. My stomach is very lopsided, I can expect this to cure itself right? Just need to give it time. Has anyone experienced anything like this. It is still pretty bruised as well.

Omg I noticed that my belly looks unbalanced too, I hope it goes away with time. I had surgery on 8/14. I hope some of the vets chime In on this one.

I would say that its probably just still swollen a bit from surgery. I has my sleeve done on the 14. It took a bit for the swelling to go down. Don't worry. You won't be lop sided forever!!!! Lol Congrats on your surgery and good luck!

I am 5 months post op and mine was lopsided for a couple weeks as well. It evened itself out with continued weight loss and just the muscles healing.

I had mine sleeve done on the 26th of August and mine was terribly lopsided and I walk slouched over to the left but it worked its way out and is now normal. The surgeon told me the reason is because that is where the biggest hole is and where he pulled the excess stomach through so he has to put extra stitching into the inner muscle therefore more swollen and lopsided.

I looked very off, my lower tummy was off by about 3 inches, tugged at the stitching too, but it fades fast, a few weeks max, if I recall.

I had my sleeve done on Tuesday (27 Aug) and I have also noticed that theleft side of my tummy is distended and hurts when I cough, but the right side is ok. Of course, why didn't I think of that: they must have made the bigger hole there to remove the excess stomach tissue. Now I can stop worrying. Thank you for the info. Xx

I was sleeved 6/18/13. I was so worried when I noticed that my stomach was lopsided, but the doctor stated it was swelling that would subside over time. About a month out, it was back to normal.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
