My date is Sept 10th..(fingers crossed) I have been doing a lot of research as for what I need to buy for my liquid diet and ideas to make my shakes taste better. I already have my list for what Im bringing to the hospital. I feel like I'm missing something. Any ideas? Ive yet to buy my multi vitamins and my calcium chews. My next appt I will need to buy my shakes and begin my liquid diet. I would love to have some friends who are taking the same journey as me..someone who can relate..thanks in advance!!xoxo

Day 1 of my 3 week pre op diet today ????...

Just had my last meal for awhile. Starting my two weak diet in the morning.

Good luck! I started mine 4 days ago. First day was a little hard. It does get easier, and in 4 days I have lost 7lbs!

Good luck to y'all on the preop diet! I'm a week post op tomorrow!

Im on day 12 of my 2wk pre-op diet. It got a lil easier as I went. Except for having to drink 2 8oz shakes made with water. Tried all sorts of ways to make it better. Even unflavored protien. Just cant do them anymore. My nut said i could do 3 nonfat milk & 1 water or mix the water in with something water based (I've mixed it in my oatmeal. Also added a 1/2 scoop extra to the milk shakes). Im getting real anxious now. My surgery is on Thurs 12th. I cant believe its almost time!

I guess I'm fortunate to be able to use skim milk with my protein. Day one wasn't that hard, although I did I dream about eating a cheeseburger last night????. My wife is trying to do the pre-op with me. So that helps a bit. The kids are tough. It's hard not to hover over their food and eat what they don't. Guess that's what I usually do. Didn't notice it till last night. 13 more days to go.

Bummer news today. My surgeon is in the hospital... the office is checking to see if the Insurance will work with the other surgeon to perform the surgery. One week of no food possible down the drain

How long is he out? That bites big time. :(

3 to 4 weeks. Hopefully I will be able to use the other surgeon (fingers crossed.)

I'm the 25th as well!

As so am I on the 25th with Dr. Jessee @Palms of Pasadena. Good luck to you all and a speedy recovery.

Im now 4 days post op. Hoping to leave the hosp today. I had a small fever so chose to stay an extra day. Better to be safe than sorry. Right?!? Besides that I'm doing good. Hard to eat. They've been giving me hot tea, jello & broth. The jello is almost to sweet, the hot tea gives me heartburn & i got sick after the chicken broth. The beef wasnt so bad. Hopefully things will look up on the food front. Plus note I love apple & crangrape juices.
