Hey guys! I'm preop and I'm looking for Vitamins..my Dr office is pushing them Bariatric Advantage products like people selling girl scout Cookies lol. I'm going to buy a 3 month supply of the BA chewable multi formula.but mu question is should I buy the BA Calcium citrate chewy bite for $30 or is there a better deal somewhere else? Each bite is 500mg of calcium cottage with 500 IU of D3 and its a 90 count bag? What Biotin product is the best? And best price? Where should I buy the b12? Are there better ones than others? My doctors notes says the Multivitamin contains aprox. 500 Mg of calcium the rest needs to be supplemented. It says all vitamins should be chewable.. What are you taking both preop and post op? Do they make you gain weight? Thanks in advance y'all are awesome

Hi everyone! I'm a few weeks from my gastric sleeve surgery. My date is Sept 10th..(fingers crossed) I have been doing a lot of research as for what I need to buy for my liquid diet and ideas to make my shakes taste better. I already have my list for what Im bringing to the hospital. I feel like I'm missing something. Any ideas? Ive yet to buy my multi vitamins and my calcium chews. My next appt I will need to buy my shakes and begin my liquid diet. I would love to have some friends who are taking the same journey as me..someone who can relate..thanks in advance!!xoxo

I'm in the hospital day 3 after surgery. I'm being given broth and crystal light ..the cramps are like contractions except in my esphoagus. Its really painful. The nurses are giving me platonics to treat my pain but its not working. My Dr cant be reached when I call his office. Every extention is invalid. Has this happened to you? Should I do my shakes instead? I'm afraid to be discharged and suffer at home.

Yes its called protonix..their lines were down ..every extention was invalid and it would say "exiting system goodbye" I had my brother deliver a note for me..2 women called me promising me the Dr will come after business hours.

I know that's not what its called but man Ive been waiting since 8am. I just had it done grosssss! I almost got sick. The radiologist wanted me to finish the cup. I had to decline! But good news..no visible leaks

I hear ya I had to make the hubby and daughter a meal..baby food for baby and then food for myself. Sometimes I would just do the shake thing to avoid smelling my delicious cooking

I don't feel the punched feeling. Its wild how we all feel different. I wonder what's a better feeling punched vs gas? Maybe neither lol

I took the heating pad and placed it over my left shoulder letting it lay on the middle of my chest. It has helped me so much with the pain. I also have a clicker that I can press when I feel pain!! Today is day 2 I'm so thirsty! Feels like ive been stranded on a desert. I couldn't use the mouth swabs because it always made me vomit. I hurled with my stomach and I had pain. This surgery really isn't that bad. My csections were worse. Its just the need to burp is what's kicking my butt

If you go to Atkins.com you can sign up for their app and receive free samples of their bars..they send you a welcome pack that has a calorie guide and an easy diet plan to follow.

I was put on a low carb diet..it was mostly based on Atkins. My nutritionist started me off at 40g of carbs a day...and then after 3 months she switched me to 20g of carbs. The diet was easy to follow..I was able to eat what I liked minus the bread and tortillas. I wasn't allowed to eat fruit or cereal..but it didn't really phase me..I was able to train my mind and lose a lot of weight. My starting weight was 305 I'm down to 231... best of luck to you!!! My surgery is this coming Tuesday!!!

What's the name of it?

My date is September 17th. I have to get bloodwork done and do the last of the preop on the 16th. Getting the phone call was great! Right in time for my bday!
