56 total lbs lost, 43 since surgery....feeling like a slow loser, but I am losing!

Don't dispair. I am right there with you. Surgery on 7/29. I am still shy of 50 pounds lost (2.5 more pounds to go to 50 total!). It has been a slow process for me. Several stalls and several weight increases along the way. Getting more serious of exercise seems to be the most helpful weight loss assist since my surgery. With the addition of regular, hard exercise I have been on a 1/2 pound loss per day for most of a week. Wow. I'll take it. My sore muscles feel otherwise!

ONLY 62 lbs to goal!!!!!

I don't know about the rest of you; but I don't like this new site. Can't find any of the threads I was part of. Many posts I have tried to reply to, I get "you are not authorized...". Does any one like this new site???

On a better note...

Had my 4-month (almost) post-op appointment today:

Surgery date 7/16

Surgery weight - 222

Current weight - 176

Weight gone - 46 lbs.

Goal Weight 125 - 41 lbs to go. Over 1/2 way there. Yay!!!

Losses are slow but steady. Finally dropping clothes sizes. All is well and I remain on target!

Surgery Date: 7/30/13

CW: 209

Thought I was right on track until reading this thread, but now not so sure....Some of you have had much more impressive losses.

Every story is different. People are more and less active then otheres. Age, height... Don't discredit your weightloss. Your loosing that's all that matters!!

By the numbers:

Starting Weight: 379

Current Weight: 321.6

Total Loss: 57

Long Term Goal: 160

In general, I feel good about my rate of weight loss and am feeling better. However, I need to work harder at getting in all my Protein, especially since I've added in weight training to my routine at the gym. I just missed my first mini-goal of losing 50 lbs by my birthday (October 15), but made it a few days later. Next mini-goal is 100 lbs lost by February 15...we'll see how I do :)

WOW! You look awesome! Keep up the good work!

Just moved into the 220s today (well, just barely at 229.8). I don't remember passing through them on my way up, so it must have happened many years ago. Losses are steady and I'm doing well, but crossing over into a different category every now and then is more fun than ever. I still have a LONG way to go, but am keeping on course. Yippee for progress!
