E-Bay question

Recommended Posts

If you sell something on E-bay, how do you know how much to put on for the postage part? Like how are you suppose to say how much it is, if you havent gone to the post-office to find out. Do you have to take every item you sell top the post office first? That just can't be true, or is it?

Any E-Bay pro's out there?????

You can go to the postoffice and get a pre-weight, then have users calculate it based on their zip code. You can charge a flat rate, so you say "shipping is $8" and whether it's $3 or $6 they pay $8. You can use flat rate shipping, so say a box costs $8 to ship no matter how much is in it.

I don't have time to go to the postoffice every time so I generally guess what it will cost me, and charge a flat rate. Sometimes I get more than it actually costs, but that's ok - by the time I get a box, packing materials, etc. it breaks even.

When I've sold things, I've gone and found how much it could cost to send it the furthest distance away... say to Florida (assuming I'll only send to Canada and the US), and how much it would cost to send to Vancouver. I've only sold a couple things, so it's never been a pain in the ass to get to the PO.

What are you sellin'?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
