I finally finished the final thingy majingy on the list for surgery, which was a sleep apnea test. So my question is..what now? I was told it can take up to 3 weeks to get results. Is it really 3 weeks? I hope they over estimated to give themselves some wiggle from.

I work for a doctors office... When you do a sleep study they get the results get back in two- three days generally ... What you're gonna be waiting on is a surgery date to become available and your preop instructions pretty much I think

Let me know about your surgery mine is going to be in a month or so

It took 2 weeks for my study to be read. I am a proud owner of a CPAP machine. We don't get along ;-) But we are trying.

That is strange but I guess every place is different in getting reports depending on the lab that's doing the test. Before I got my lap band I went through sleep apnea testing And was diagnosed with OSA. After going from 240 pounds 165 pounds I still had the same score on my sleep apnea test or the same restriction.

After getting my sleep apnea machine prior to my banding, I believe I did have to wait a week or two For my surgery and a date to become available.

When you're looking for a device for your sleep apnea For a mask should I say Make sure you try all the options the night of your sleep study. I chose the one that just went over my nose because I am not a mouth breather or someone who snores. There are several different styles to choose from. If you do suffer from OSA( Obstructed sleep apnea). When you wear your mask at night you will notice a drastic improvement in your quality sleep for as little or as much as you get.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
