Post Surgical Period

I had surgery on 7/30 and my period started 8/1, 2 weeks early. That's all I wanted to deal with in my first couple days of recovery. It seems to be very heavy this time and usually I have very light periods. Has anyone else had this issue? Did your period start early after surgery and was it heavier than normal?

This happened to me too! I would love to know the answer- mine started 12 days early.

I got my period two weeks early which was 2 days after I got my sleeve ,then it came again on the normal date I was piss ,so IM hoping this month will just be the normal time

My period returned 2.5 mo after surgery it was really heavy the firs 4 mo but the lasts have been lighter...

Surgery plays havoc with ur hormones post op, hence the effect on periods. It settles and things go back to normal. But it can be a bummer coping with that and everything else all in the week after surgery, lol'

Yes & yes. It was crazy & weird. didn't return to normal until 6 mons post op.

I got mine 2 days after surgery too. The nurses at the hospital said it's very common and most likely from the stress and trauma on our bodies.....
