TODAY is the day!

All right people, this is it. My husband and I go in today. I slept surprisingly well last night and feel ready to face this. More worried about my husband being okay than about me, but that's for no good reason except that I love him dearly :)

I'm going into this feeling very good, except for a niggling doubt that this too, may not work for me. I've tried everything. I haven't even lost anything for the last 8-10 days on a liquid diet of 800 calories, so part of me thinks, I will be that freak of nature for whom this wont work. Again, probably illogical but that's my fear.

So asking my fellow sleeves for your thoughts and prayers for us, for a successful surgery, and a positive outcome afterwards.

Also want to thank everyone who has posted and educated me. I have learned so much from all of you, and feel grateful for all of you who have shared openly so that the rest of us can go into this journey better prepared than we would have been without you.

My husband was sore so they gave him some meds and he is sleeping soundly now. Phew.

IV out today makes walking so much easier. I feel blessed at how good we are feeling. My husband has gas pains but says the pain meds are helping I already have gut gurgling sounds indicating everything is fine. We walked every 2-3 hours at night and again this morning. We were so excited about ice chips this morning! Just got them and feeling good.

Had it not been for this forum, I could not have assured my husband that what he was going through was normal. That he wasn't about to have a heart attack, that chest and back and shoulder pressure were normal and we just needed to walk.

So thank you very much once again to all who take time to post and educate.
