  1. October 2023 will mark my 10 years sleeve anniversary. ?????? I am going to be 53 April 2023 and I’ve never felt or looked better in my life!! This was ONE OF THE BEST decisions I ever made for ME! I did my first fitness competition last year and took second place in the Transformations Category. Nothing is “Impossible” the word itself tells you “I’m possible”!
  2. Pre-Op/Gastric Sleeve: 10/2013- 248lbs (also skin removal surgery 10/2019 of abdomen & thighs) As of today, 8/12/2020: 103lbs
  3. Surgery date 9/25/13, height 5'1, Weight 238lbs After: 130lbs Best decision I ever made!
  4. Sure. I eat 700-850 calories a day, keep my carbs count at 40-50 grams, protein 60 grams and try to keep my sugar down to 40 grams a day. I am working on my daily water intake which is currently 48 oz a day and try to get up to 60oz. I exercise 3-4 days a week, I try to get At least 1 high protein shake in a day. Really try to get in those protein shakes! I am starting to have significant hair loss and my doctor told me I got to make sure to get that protein in. I am losing slower than others but I am fine with it. Slow and steady wins the race! Good luck to you and enjoy the journey!
  5. Congrats! You look fantastic!!
  6. Thank you all for your kind words! It is much appreciated and keeps me motivated! For those of you getting sleeved, I was you 4 months ago, looking at photos, feeling inspired and hoping that would be me one day. It will be you soon too. Good luck to everyone on their journey and know you always have a friend and support system here whenever you need it. Xo!!
  7. Had my surgery on 9/25/13, (so really 4 months/1 week post op) and I am down 61lbs! I have never regretted my decision to have VSG! Don't get me wrong, I have struggles like everybody else, head hunger, stalls, food issues but no one said this was going to be easy. I just take it one day at a time, one pound at a time and do the best that I can. Love my sleeve!! Stats: Height: 5'1 Pre-op/starting weight: 238 Surgery weight: 222 Current weight: 177
  8. Congratulations! You look amazing!!!
  9. Excellent! Congratulations, your look fantastic!
  10. Happy new year to you too!
  11. Thank you! I love my sleeve. I no longer have issues with heartburn, except when I forget to take my acid reflux Rx- omeprazole 30Mg. Then I do/will have issues. I also take a tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar 1 hour before bedtime and it has helped a great deal. Keep rocking your sleeve, you look great and are doing awesome!
  12. Congratulations!! You look fabulous!! I was sleeved September 25th and have lost 53lbs so far. Wishing us both continued success with our sleeves in 2014!! At 238lbs Current 185lbs
  13. You look amazing, congratulations!!!
  14. You look amazing, congratulations!!!
  15. Thanks for the tip. I just picked up some. Fyi- They are on sale, buy 2 get 1 free.
  16. I am 5 weeks post op and have only lost 16 lbs since but lost 33lbs total since pre-op (7weeks). I was getting frustrated also but then I had to stop and really think about it. I lost 33lbs in 7 weeks, that's alittle more than 4 1/2 pounds a week, that I would of never lost on mine own. We all lose differently, some slower than others. I am at prace now with one, one pound at a time. Slow and steady wins the race.
  17. Wow! You look amazing! Congrats.
  18. You look fantastic! Congratulations!!!
